STARTING POINT: SEVILLE
The Trinitarians destined for the redemptions, be it the Procurator of the Redemption and his companions, were normally found in the city of Seville. So far all the funds that had been collected with donations or campaigns for redemption had arrived. In this sense, Seville will be the starting point from which we, too, will start showing "redemption".
OUR WAY
The Trinitarian Order had two convents in Seville:
- The Convent of Calzados, Santísima Trinidad, founded in 1249, today the Basilica of María Auxiliadora.
- The convent of the barefoot, founded in 1610, today only one tower remains in the restored chapel of Cristo de Burgos. It remained open until the exclaustration of 1835.
At present, the Trinitarian Family is in Seville with the presence of the Trinitarians, in the parish of San Ignacio de Loyola, and the Trinitarians of Urquijo, with the Beguinage school and the house for students and home of Father Méndez. Casariego.
